The Panhandle Polecats -- There's a Great Day Coming
[Listen to sample track - 30 second Mp3]
Traditional PD
The Panhandle Polecats have been raising a ruckus around the Inland Northwest with their traditional bluegrass for the last several years. They hail from the North Idaho panhandle where they were raised in their little mountain home on the Rathdrum prairie. This band is made up of five siblings who love to play music almost as much as they love to fight with each other. Of course they play the good ol’ bluegrass standards, but their sound also includes plenty of gospel, wild mountain tunes, western, country, old-time, and a little blues for good measure. They just released their released their second CD, “Skunked Again!”, featuring some original tunes.
Jenny Little – bass
Hank Little – dobro and harmonica
Molly Little – mandolin
Austin Little – banjo
Bonnie Little – guitar
Good Enough For Now was written by novelty artist "Weird Al" Yankovic, the minute the Panhandle Polecats heard this song they knew they had to learn it. Special guest Andrew Wilson sets a country rhythm on his fiddle, and lead vocals are handled by Molly.
There's a Great Day Coming is an old song the Panhandle Polecats learned from their church hymn book. They always thought it would make a great bluegrass tune - and it does.

Recorded Live at the 2007 Pend Oreille Valley Bluegrass Festival by Old Blue Sound. Steve, Gary, Dan, with Steve Spurgin and Larry Chung of Thunderation joined forces for an onstage unrehearsed super-jam.
